The medium-sized Alocasia Dragon Scale Albo Variegata (Ø 12 cm pot) is a rare beauty with intense, high-contrast variegation. With striking white and dark green patterns, these plants stand out for their strong, well-defined variegation, making them a perfect choice for collectors.
Their firm, leathery leaves not only add texture but also help retain moisture better than Alocasia Frydek Albo Variegata, allowing them to withstand short periods of neglect.

Care/Details
This Alocasia variety flourishes in bright, indirect light but can also handle partial shade. It prefers soil that is kept slightly moist, allowing the top inch to dry out between waterings.
Alocasias do need a bit more attention compared to some other houseplants. They thrive in a well-draining soil mix and should not be overwatered to prevent root rot. Ensure good airflow around the plant and its roots to avoid excess moisture and maintain overall health.
- Environment – Place your Alocasia in a bright spot, but avoid direct sunlight, especially during strong sunshine months. It prefers temperatures between 18 to 30°C.
- Watering – Water weekly, using 100-200 ml for medium pots (10-12 cm) and 50 ml for smaller pots (6 cm). Ensure the plant absorbs the water within a few hours and discard any excess. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out before watering again. In winter, extend the interval between waterings to about 14 days due to slower growth.
- Leaves Care – Yellowing of older leaves is normal. Gently remove them once the stem starts to loosen, taking care not to harm the plant. Dripping leaves may indicate overwatering or high temperatures, which is not unusual. Regular misting can help keep the leaves fresh.
- Fertilizer – Feed your Alocasia once a month during spring and summer with a liquid fertilizer. Reduce feeding in winter as the plant’s growth slows and it absorbs fewer nutrients.
