Thriving in moderate, indirect light, the Monstera Adansonii Albo Variegata reveals its exquisite foliage, trailing gracefully as it grows. However, it’s important to note that this plant can be sensitive in variegated areas, particularly during shipping. Customers should expect the beauty of new arriving leaves, as browning due to stress can be common. If you find that your plant is not producing enough variegation as you prefer, you can cut the plant back to a point where the stem is more white, as they will make a new growth point close to where it’s cut. Should your plant become too variegated and not producing enough photosynthesis, then you may cut the plant back to a point where the stem is more green.

• Environment – Ideally placed in a light environment, however, not in direct sun during months with strong sunshine. Temperatures between 18 to 30 degrees Celsius are recommended. For you who like to care a bit more for your plants; if you during the year have the possibility to place the plant in a humid environment this is recommended. You can also use a lurk warm water mist during the week.

• Watering – Water once every other week and make sure not to overwater, let the plant absorb all water within few hours. If any water left, you should pour the rest out. Try with 100-200 ml for midsize pots (10-12 ø cm pots) and 50 ml for mini plants (6cm). After a period of days, the soil will start to dry up, here you can wait a day or two to water.

• Leaves care – It is not uncommon for outer leaves to become yellow at some point, wait for the leaf stem to loosen slightly from the plant before removal, do this with care to avoid harming the plant. If you notice the leaves dripping, this is not unusual, and it can be caused by overwatering or due to higher temperatures amongst other factors.

• Fertilizer – This can be administered once monthly during spring and summer periods. During winter the plants are not as likely to endure growth, therefore, the plant will not absorb the fertilizer.
