Care/Details
How to take care of Philodendron Pink Bikini:
- Light and Placement – Place your Philodendron Pink Birkin in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, especially during months with strong sunshine, to prevent scorching the leaves. It thrives in temperatures between 18°C and 30°C. If possible, provide a humid environment or mist the plant with lukewarm water during the week for added care.
- Watering – Water once a week, ensuring the soil has time to absorb the water fully within a few hours. If excess water remains, pour it out to prevent root rot. For midsize pots (10-12 cm), use 100-200 ml of water; for mini plants (6 cm), try 50 ml. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out before watering again, waiting an extra day or two if needed.
- Leaf Care – Outer leaves may occasionally turn yellow. Wait until the leaf stem loosens slightly before carefully removing it to avoid damaging the plant. If the leaves appear to be dripping, it could be due to overwatering, higher temperatures, or other environmental factors.
- Fertiliser – Apply fertiliser once a month during spring and summer when the plant is actively growing. Avoid fertilising during winter, as growth slows and the plant will not absorb nutrients effectively.
